Fevig, Adelaine Miriam Helen (Bloomdahl) Died March 6, 2019 at age 95. Addie was born December 3, 1923 in Elk River, MN to the late John and Agnes (Bostrom) Bloomdahl. After being raised on the farm in Elk River and attending nursing school in Minneapolis, she was united in marriage to Glen Fevig on September 5, 1947. The marriage endured very happily for 66 years. Addie was a faithful and loving wife to Glen and a devoted Mother to her 6 boys. Her life was characterized by giving and service, not only to her family, but also to many others. Glen and Addie together were always reaching out to people others seemed to ignore, including a needy single parent family, an ex-convict, and an orphaned college student. Many people were helped and sometimes housed in their home, and always treated with love and respect. Her strong faith in Christ was visibly expressed in her actions to her family, and everyone she met. She will be greatly missed here, but greatly welcomed in heaven! Addie enjoyed travelling, gardening and entertaining, especially large family gatherings. In order to maintain her sanity while raising 6 boys, Addie cultivated a wide circle of friends from her church, her neighborhood, and from among Glen's co-workers. Together, they enjoyed bridge club, bible studies, and many other activities. Addie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, her brother Carroll, and her beloved first Grandchild, Melissa Fevig Hughes. She is survived by her children, Michael (Gail) Fevig, David (Kathy) Fevig, Robert (Kathy) Fevig, Mark (Lee) Fevig, Thomas (Vicki) Fevig and John (Pat) Fevig; 15 grandchildren and spouses; 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 10-11:00 on Tuesday, March 12 at Centerpoint Church, 2345 N. 10th St., Kalamazoo, 49009, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. A private committal will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, North Park. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Addie's name may be directed to Samaritan's Purse, Park Village Pines, and/or Centerpoint Church.
