Stephen Hill

Passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home, Residential Opportunities (ROI)-Litchfield House. Stephen was born May 13, 1967 in Kalamazoo the son of Thomas and Shirley (Kondratek) Hill. Steve was a loving son, brother and uncle. He made friends easily. He had a wonderful sense of humor; he loved music, playing pool, weight lifting, traveling and being with family where he was always the life of the party. Steve was a Special Olympian for many years. In 2003, he traveled to Ireland and competed at the International Olympics in the power lifting event. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, the Boy Scouts, a bowling league and he worked at MRC and KSS Enterprises. Steve touched many hearts; he was truly a blessing. Surviving are his parents, Thomas and Shirley Hill of Kalamazoo; brother, Tom (Pat) Hill of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Holly (Greg) Daggett of South Haven and Terry (Bill) Dawson of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. Friends are being received Monday April 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 11 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Robert Consani, Celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
