Julia Burr

Julia passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Kalamazoo. She was born on March 24, 1923 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Sam and Ethel (Green) Marcelletti. On May 21, 1948, she married Robert D. Burr, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2012. Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Robert Cook, Jr., and a sister, Eleanor Toroian, in 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Carol R. Cook of Schoolcraft; two grand daughters, Carie Cook and Chrissy (Russ) Henderson, both of Schoolcraft; four great-grandchildren, Courtnie, Zachary (Erin), Nathaniel (Cecelia) and Lindsay Holmes; four great-great grandchildren, Caleb, Elijah, Theodore and Easton; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with Julia's family beginning at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, with a funeral service at 11 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. with Pastor Kyle Douglass officiating. Interment will follow in the Schoolcraft Cemetery.
