Louis A. Lakatos, age 85, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at Ridgewood Care Center. Louis was born in Racine, October 24, 1928, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Nee: Laszko) Lakatos.

During World War II he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Louis was employed for twenty-five years with Advance Transportation. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Local 200.

Survivors include his children, Gerard (Robin) Lakatos of Racine, Michael (Karen) Lakatos of Mercer, Vincent (Tammi) Lakatos of Ashland, Dorene Grau of Racine, Catherine Lakatos of Eagle River; grandchildren, Tom and Jeanette, Casey and Brenna, Jamie, Kristie, and Sidney Lakatos, Art and Ian Grau, Rachel OPahle; great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Ian Jr., Bailey, Willow, Darwin, Bennett, and Roy; brother, Leslie (Lillian) Lakatos of Racine; sister, Elizabeth Carter of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 26, 2014, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church have been suggested.
