Susan Young, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Woodland Hospice.

A Memorial Service for Susan will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lux Family Life Story Funeral Home in Mt Pleasant with Father Tom Held presiding.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, Community Cancer Services, or Harold W. & Dorothy V. Zeoli Scholarship Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Susan was born June 30, 1945, in Hyannis, MA, daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Vestburg) Zeoli. She moved to Mt. Pleasant as a child but spent her summers in Cape Cod, MA with family.

As an adult, Susan began her work career as a nurse’s aid and a program assistant in surgery at CMCH. Susan graduated from college and continued working at CMCH in the information services department. In 2002 she went to work for JJWILD, Inc. as a medical software consultant and was fortunate enough to have traveled internationally for the company. Susan loved to travel with family and friends, also.

Susan is survived by three children, Heidi Young of Mt. Pleasant, Melissa (John) Best of Oshtemo, and Brian (Sarah) Young of Peoria, AZ; four grandchildren, Daniel Young, Isabel Best, and Sophia and Olivia Young; four siblings, Carol (Charles) Names of Dewitt, Janet Green of Lansing, Stephen (Linda) Zeoli of Herndon, VA, Kristin (Timothy) MacGregor of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy.
