Sally Kay Stevens 53 of Traverse City died Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Munson Hospice House.

She was born on October 13, 1960 in Traverse City the daughter of Robert Harlan and Delores L. (Hoeflin) Hall.

Sally was a bookkeeper with the State of Michigan, Dept. of Human Services; retiring after 30 years. She recently worked in customer service with Village Press. Sally was formerly a 4-H Leader.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading, the outdoors, gardening and mowing her lawn. Sally loved watching the NFL and caught as many Tiger games as she could. She especially like her Thursday nights at OPA! She loved being with her grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her husband, Jeff Stevens; they were married on August 31, 1980 in Kingsley; children, Jessica (Logan) Randell and Darcie Stevens both of Traverse City and Adam Stevens of Interlochen; grandchildren, Quentin, Malachi, Annabelle, Brody, Gryphon, and Ezra; father, Robert Hall of Kingsley; mother and step-father, Delores and Gary Moore of Traverse City, siblings, Debbie (Dave) Heim of Traverse City, Ron (Debi) Hall of Kingsley, and Bruce (Lindsey) Hall of Williamsburg, and nieces and nephews. step-siblings, Brian (Barb) Moore of Lake Ann and Dana (Kevin) Venhuizen of Lake City; sister and brother-in-law, Debra (John) Harvey of Traverse City and her beloved dog, Alfie.

Cremation will take place. An informal gathering will be held 5pm to 7pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City. The families preference is contributions to her husband, Jeff Stevens to help with expenses.
