Michael Astor, 26, of Hammond, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was born on December 27, 1987 to Joseph and Debra (Matyasovich) Astor in Hammond, Indiana. He enjoyed playing guitar and video games.
He is survived by his father and step mother Joseph and Sandra Astor of Bourbonnais, brothers Jeff and Jen Astor of Hammond, IN, Joey and Shelly Astor of Hammond, IN, David Astor of Kankakee, James and Jovita Lampley of Bourbonnais, and sister Rebecca and James Kassman of Kankakee and 8 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his uncles John Matyasovich and Doug Matyasovich of Illinois, an aunt Madeline and Red Senger of Illinois and cousins Sherri and Larry Warren of Bradley and Marci Smith (Will Carroll) of Kankakee. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
A gathering for family and friends will be from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, February 7 at Schreffler Lifestory Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Memorials are to be given for family wishes.
