Thomas Patrick Clutts 73 of Lake Ann, formerly of Flushing died, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 17, 1940 in Flint, the son of Vernon Eugene and Thelma Kathleen (Brown) Clutts.

Thomas graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1958. After high school he attended Ferris Institute. He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Santa on July 8, 1961 in Flint. He graduated from Ferris Institute with a degree in Pharmacy in 1963. He was a partner in Herrlich’s Drug Stores in Flint. He later worked at Rite Aid in Flint and Traverse City.

Thomas enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He loved being active with his grandchildren; attending Elizabeth's singing performances, Jonathon's football games, Harrison and Samuel's baseball games, and Grace's ballet recitals. He lived for his great family parties. Thomas was witty and had a fantastic sense of humor. He was an outstanding and loving husband, father and grandfather. Thomas will be greatly missed by all.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Clutts of Lake Ann; children, Jeffrey (Sherrie) Clutts of Lake Ann, Susan (Patrick) Hill of Pierson and David (Amelie) Clutts of Goodells; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathon, Harrison, Samuel and Grace; mother, Thelma Clutts of Traverse City; sister, Sandra Boldt of Flushing, brother and sister in law Joseph and JoAnne Santa of Colorado and brother in law Charles Slack of Mendon, nieces, nephews and his beloved Dachshund's, Annabelle and his rescue dog, Minnie.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Clutts and sister in law Darlene Slack.

Cremation has taken place. An informal gathering will be held from 1pm to 3pm, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City. A brief Memorial Service will start at 1:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Munson Oncology Department, 1150 Medical Campus Dr., Traverse City, MI 49684 or the Cherryland Humane Society, 1750 Ahlberg Rd. Traverse City, Michigan 49686.
