Eileen Buente

Eileen D, Buente, 87 of Bradley passed away December 29, 2013 at her home in Manteno. She was born April 27, 1926 to Joseph and Anna (Kimmelshue) Buente in Kankakee, Illinois. She went to High School and graduated from Herscher High School. Eileen worked as product inspector at Armours for 38 years until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of WMCA, a volunteer at Riverside Medical Center from 1991 to 2008 and filed music at First Church of the Nazarene.

Eileen is survived by her sister in law, Marian Buente of Bonfield, and 6 nephews, Edmund and Cheryl Buente of New Bedford, MA, Steve Buente of Bonfield, Jay and Heather Buente of Bonfield, Russel and Paulette Bauer of Bonfield, Merle and Tannia Bauer of Herscher, and Joe Ohrt of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and 4 nieces Marcella Bauer of Herscher, Alison and Joe Paglin of Kankakee, IL, Delores and George Ohrt-Halva of Kankakee, IL and Shawna and Bill Havener of Kankakee. Also surviving is the Family of Heritage Woods in Manteno. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Raymond Buente, 2 sisters, Alice Ohrt and Dorothy Bauer and 2 brothers in law, Glen Ohrt and DuWayne Bauer.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Kankakee Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Celebration of life funeral service will be Saturday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Kankakee Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
