Donald E. Butler

Don Butler, age 82, of Bradley, IL passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center. Don was born on August 24, 1931 to Frank and Laura Belle (Schwartz) Butler in Arrowsmith, IL. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956. He married Jo Anne Ryan on February 13, 1954 at the Presbyterian Church in Gibson City, IL. Jo Anne died in 2004. He worked at Armstrong for 37 years before his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Christian faith. He enjoyed the outdoors: birds, flowers and nature. He was a skillful handyman and proud of his Irish heritage and family.

Don is survived by one son,Rocky (Charlene) Butler of Limestone, IL; two daughters, Jody (Marvin) Stamm of Momence, IL and Carolyn (Bud) Ryan of Gibson City, IL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jo Anne and his son, Donnie Butler.

Private graveside services will be held at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.
