Mary F. Hayek, age 75, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Mary was born in Racine, May 3, 1938, daughter of the late Anthony and Lena (Nee: Lucareli) Aceto.

On May 24, 1958 she was united in marriage to Walter M. Hayek. Mary was employed by Kohl’s Food Store for nineteen years until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and Vittoria Colonna. Mary enjoyed occasional trips to the casino. Above all, she cherished her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years, Walter; her children, Walter (Cheryl) Hayek III, Dana Miller, Shelly (Jeffrey) Hanson; four grandchildren, Walter Steven Hayek IV, Brittany Hayek, Natashia Hanson, Ryan Hanson (fiancé, Heather VanAbel; brother, Robert (Nina) Aceto; sister-in-law, Helen Andersen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Mike and Fred.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 21, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. (Vittoria Colonna Service will be held at 10:45 A.M.) Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church have been suggested.
