I met Lee while I was attending Ferris State University. As time went on, we grew to be really good friends. Like me, Lee was very talkative and had lots of interesting stories to tell. He was very kind-hearted and a total gentleman. I had a lot of respect and admiration for him. I will always remember the fun times we had together and the super long heart to heart conversations we had. His parents, his daughters, and his fiance Amber will be in my prayers as I know this is a VERY hard thing to deal with!!!!! I will always remember Lee Harris as one of the nicest, classiest, kind hearted guys I have ever met!

Lee was one of the kindest, most earnest souls I've ever known. Although he was my cousin and my senior by nearly a decade, I always looked up to him, and was never once disappointed.

Lee, I'll miss you more than I realize. Soft seas for you.

Although Lee and I hadn't been together for a long time (just over a year), I loved him as much as any woman could love a man. We were together every minute and I always told him that he was a Prince Charming, so well mannered and he always put the other people in his life first. I thank God that Lee was able to leave me and his parents little Victoria as a keepsake. Thank you all so much for your support and I hope you all come to visit us often.

We didn't know Lee when he was a child. We worked with him at JCI in Holland. They had a christmas party a few years ago, and my mother Gloria picked his name out of a hat.She asked him what he wanted for christmas and he said "A curvy blonde",My mother started thinking if he wants a blonde then I will get him one. When it came time for Lee to open his present my mother told him "It's just what you wanted.Lee looked at her with a puzzled look on his face.He opened the present,His face turned beet red for what my mother got him was a barbie doll with blonde hair. Mrs.Harris I know you have that barbie doll.I just wanted to share this memory with you and let you know when he held that barbie doll,He was grinning from ear to ear.

WHEN LEE WAS ABOUT FOUR YEARS OLD, ALL OF US WENT ON A CAMPING-FISHING TRIP TO CANADA. I STILL REMEMBER THIS SWEET BLONDE CURLY HAIRED BOY BEING SO INNOCENT AND FOLLOWING ME AROUND WITH A SMILE AND CURIOSITY ON HIS FACE THAT I COULDN'T IGNORE. LEE WOULD FOLLOW ME AROUND, GETTING INTO THE TACKLE BOX, AND SOMETIMES HOOKING HIMSELF ACCINDENTLY. ON JANUARY 1, 2006, I VISITIED LEE AT HIS PARENTS HOUSE IN GRAND HAVEN. LEE EXPRESSED HIS JOY AND ABOUT HIM BEING A PROUD PARENT OF HIS THREE YEAR OLD DAUAGHTER SAYLOR AND HIS 3 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER VICTORIA. LEE TOOK ME DOWN INTO THE BASEMENT TO SHOW AND TELL ME AUTH THE BROWN TROUT THAT HE CAUGHT WHILE REELING IN THE FISHING LINE. I REALLY ENJOYED LISTENING TO LEE TALKING AND WITH A KIND OF A TICKLE IN HIS LAUGH AS HE EXPRESSED HIMSELF TO ME. AS I LISTENED TO LESS'S VOICE SO FULL OF LIFE AND WITH SO MUCH PASSION FOR FISHING AND TO SHARE AND TEACH OTHER PEOPLE . I STILL HEAR LEE'S VOICE ADDRESSING ME AS "UNCLE' KELVIN, I WILL ALSWAYS MISS LEE AND HIS DRIVING FORCE TO LIVE LIFE TO IT FULLEST AND HOW HE EXPRESSED HIS LOVE FOR THE PEOPLE AND FAMILY IN HIS LIFE AND IS PAASSION FOR FISHING AND HIS TWO LITTLE GIRLS. WE MISS HIM VERY MUCH!!!!!!!! UNCLE KELVIN

I worked with Lee at the Lakewood plant. What I remember most about Lee was the heart to heart talks we would have about anything under the sun mostly about our kids. He always bragged about Sailor and the new baby (Victoria) on the way. He was so exicted. Lee your life was cut too short but God knows best and we often don't understand the whys. You will be greatly missed. Love your friend Melissa

Lee was my cousin and it wasn't until he transferred to the JCI Lakewood plant that I really go to know him. A great guy that loved to talk about his daughters or his recent fishing or hunting trip. He'd always ask how my father or brothers were doing. We'd have long fishing and hunting conversations (nothing wrong with that!).

My greatest hope for Lee's fiance and daughters is that they remember through the years to come what a great guy he was and how much he loved them and wants the very best for their future. There's nothing worse than parents outliving their children, and children growing up without both their parents. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I remember the time you and uncle Allan took me and Grandma out in the big boat. You got so excited when we had a fish on that you started reeling it up and then you looked at me and asked me if I wanted to reel it in since it was supposed to be my turn. You are loved very much and will truly be missed.

I remember the time when we were smelt dipping up north in the U.P. when we dumped your beer out and filled it with river water. You still drank it and moments later you said it was the smoothest beer you have ever had.I'll miss you.

We are cousins and didn't know Lee that well but want to keep him in our memory. His life was cut way to short but God always has a plan for us. He is now in Gods loving hands and we will all be together eventually.

I worked with Lee in Lakewood molding and remember him to be a very good story teller. Stories of his trip to Canada fishing, times in the Army and mostly stories of his daughter. I have thought of him often since he was laid off and will remember him with fondness. My prayers are with Amber, Victoria,Sailor and his Mom and Dad.

I was one of the many people who were lucky enough to work w/ Lee! He loved to brag about Sailor and when I worked w/ him he was very anxiously awaiting the birth of Victoria! He was just as chatty as me, so it was always fun working side by side w/ him. He could make my night go faster and w/ more fun! I think of Lee as my friend and will miss him! God bless his family, fiancee and friends. God will help us through this shocking and difficult time.
