Violet 'Vi' Willenbrock

Violet ‘Vi’ M Willenbrock, age 86, of Kankakee, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Bradley Royale Nursing Home. Violet was born on November 7, 1926 to Carl and Alvina (Majeski) Schoenwetter in Chicago, IL. She married Fred Willenbrock on October 23, 1954 at St. Paul’s Church in Kankakee, IL. He passed away November 7, 2001. She worked at Fair Store as a book keeper for 19 years before her retirement in 1965. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kankakee and a member of the Council of Catholic Women.

Violet is survived by her sister, Betty (Bob) Frank; brother-in-law, Melvin (Sarieta) Rieches; her cousin, Marge Nelson; her caretaker, Dena Coy and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents and her five sisters.

A gathering time for friends and family will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home’s Kankakee Chapel. Deacon Pat Skelly will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Mound Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.
