AFTON, DANIEL T. Lowell Daniel T. Afton passed away unexpectedly June 12, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter C. Afton, Jr. and K. Elizabeth Afton. Surviving are his wife, Susan L. Kohn-Afton; two daughters, Heather Schulte of Lowell and Jennifer (Scott) Afton-Noppen of Kalamazoo; three step-children, Mike (Teresa) Emmons of Wyoming, Ryan (Carri) Emmons of Morley and Jill (Rick) Bond of Howard City; three grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren; sisters, Katie (David) Fairchild of Comstock Park, Mary (John) Waringa of Fenwick. Dan was an active member of West Michigan Plumbers, Fitters & Service Trades Local Union #174. The family will meet with friends and relatives Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell MI 49331. There will be a private funeral service at a later date.
