Inez Whaley

Inez Whaley, age 90, of Kankakee, IL passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Inez was born on October 19, 1922 in Iroquois County, IL the daughter of Clifford and Jessie Morgan. She married John Whaley on June 20, 1946 in Kentland, IN. John passed away on May 4, 2007. Inez worked for 45 years for Citi Bank in Kankakee, was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Kankakee and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with John, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.

Inez is survived by her sister Doris Corbin of Monticello, IN, brothers and sisters-in-law Carolyn Morgan, Gerald and Dolly Whaley, and June and Louis Johnson, 22 nieces and nephews, and many great –nieces and nephews.

Her husband John, parents, brothers; Ralph, Merle, Fred, and Wayne, and a sister Freida preceded her in death.

A time of gathering will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 4pm-7pm and on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 9am until the time of service at 10am a Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel

Interment will follow at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, IL.

In lieu of flower memorials to Asbury United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
