William Brown

William Brown age 85, of Alma, formerly of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. He was born on April 2, 1928 in Towanda, Kansas the son of Marion and Ruth (Gipson) Brown. He married Kathryn Ann Sheldon on March 19, 1946 in Paw Paw. William worked for the State of Michigan as a Highway Supervisor for 33 years, before his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the Paw Paw Lawton Masonic Lodge #25 for 50 years and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. William is survived by a daughter, Rosemary (Michael) Jungel of Vicksburg; a son, Dale Brown of Decatur; three grandchildren, Lisa Johnson, Michael Jungel and Heidi Jungel; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years, Kathryn on January 1, 2013; and a brother, Charles Brown. A cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
