Rebecca Booi

Rebecca Ann Booi, age 59, of Holland, former-ly of Chicago, went to be with her Lord on Thurs-day, May 16, 2013, follow-ing complications from cancer. Becky was employed by Northwestern Univer-sity but came recently to live with her parents in Holland to receive treat-ment. She grew up in Il-linois and attended Hope College. Becky was the sweet, loving daughter of Duane and Phyllis (P. J.) Booi. Surviving also are her brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Nancy Booi of Lake Odessa; neph-ews, Michael and Andrew Booi; cousins, Richard and Shirley Fiets of Fish-er, Illinois, Dr. Charles and Ann Smith of San-ta Fe, New Mexico, and their extended families; special friend, John At-wood of Chicago; and numerous other family and friends. A private family service with Rev. Kent Fry offi-ciating will take place on Monday, May 20, 2013, with burial in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visita-tion will be 6-8 p.m. Tues-day at Langeland-Steren-berg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. Memorial contribu-tions may be given to Hope College.
