Mary Evans

Mary J. Evans, 84, of Bradley IL passed away at Riverside Hospital’s Emergency Room Saturday May 11, 2013. She was born to Carl and Jessie (Stilley) Eckhardt on June 11, 1928 in Kankakee IL. Her first husband Russell Mulder passed April 8, 1987 and her second husband Frank Evans passed July 4, 2003. Mary was an operator and also worked in the fitting department at Target for 15 years retiring in 2010. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Bourbonnais for many years, a member of the Moose Lodge where she served as part of the “Women of the Moose”. She was an avid bowler and golfer, loved shopping and was known as a real “people person”.

Mary is survived by one daughter Susan and (Michael) Nickles of Bourbonnais IL, two grandsons Chris Nickles of Bradley and Jeremie Nickles of Bourbonnais. She is also survived by two sisters Helen Marucci of Steger and Nita Wilson of Scottsdale AZ. She is preceded in death by her husbands, one brother Carl Eckhardt, two sisters Mildred Grazliani and Jeanette Pagel,

A gathering time for family and friends will be Tuesday May 14, 2013 from 2-7 p.m. at with a “Women of the Moose” memorial service at 6:30 p.m. A celebration of Mary’s life’s funeral service will be Wednesday May 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Robert Bushey will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aroma Twp.
