Johnny Whitehead

Johnny Ray Whitehead, 50, of Alpena, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at home.

Johnny was born March 31, 1963 in Rockford, IL to John B. and Velma J. (Purl) Whitehead. He served in the US Navy. On March 17, 1990 he married Carol Adrian in Long Beach, CA. Johnny owned and operated the Bushey Road Berry farm in Alpena.

Surviving are his loving wife of 23 years, Carol, his mother, Velma Owens of Loves Park, IL, a sister, Tricia (Mike) Sievers of Loves Park, IL, a brother, Timmy (Cindy) Whitehead of Rockford, IL, step-son, Allen (Crystal) Hutchinson, three granddaughters; Carissa, Gwen and Elsa Hutchinson all of Royal Oak, MI, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John, a sister, Michelle and a brother, Lonnie.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Huron Shores Fellowship, M-32 W, Alpena, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Vern Potrykus and Kip Burke officiating.
