Doyle Foland, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at McLaren Central Michigan.
He was born September 12, 1957, in St. Johns, son of Max and Inez (Falor) Foland. A graduate of DeWitt High School in 1973, Doyle drove truck for Leaseway Motorcar Transport for over 20 years, hauling new cars for General Motors. He was very proud of being a teamster and never passed up an opportunity to help a friend or stranger.
Doyle is survived by his children, Lynn (Jamie) McCormick of Winn, Jay (Audrie) Foland of Mt. Pleasant, Melanie (Chad) Ryckman of Riverdale and Travis (Jennifer) Foland of Elwell; grandchildren, Haley, Zack, Cameron, Jocelyn, Katie and Christopher; his significant other, Kellie Thrush of Mt. Pleasant; his mother and step-father, Inez and Ralph Gregory of West Palm Beach, FL; and brothers, Scot (Amy) Foland of Lexington, KY and Troy Foland of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Memorial Service for Doyle will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Shepherd United Methodist Church with Jean Thrush officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HATS or Shepherd United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at Lux Family Life Story Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
