I never had the priveledge of meeting your daughter. I was at work in Detroit, and on my lunch break I was reading the paper and came across this beautiful girl's picture. My heart broke when I read it. I had to come to the website to pay my respects. I have a two year old, and she is the world to my husband and I. I can't imagine what you are going through, and have never felt the pain you are obviously feeling. May God watch over all of you and your precious daughter and sister. I am truly sorry for your loss.

While searching the death notices for information about a friend, I noticed Kristina's photo and went on to read her life story. She was a beautiful person who brought light and joy into this world in so many ways. You do not know me; I am just a stranger but I grieve for the great loss that is yours and I pray that God will give you strength to go on. May God bless you and hold you in the palm of His hand.

I had the pleasure and good fortune to be Kristina's fifth grade teacher. A few years have passed, and I have seen little of her, but as I read the wonderful memories and tributes, it is obvious that she has continued to share and develop the many wonderful talents she demonstrated that year. I will always remember Kristina as a beautiful young lady, who was kind, caring, respectful, responsible, and full of the love of learning. She was loved by her classmates and her teacher and could always be counted on to give her best to whatever she attempted. Her passing is a terrible loss to so many, and my prayers go out to her family and friends. Kristina was blessed with a loving, caring, nuturing family. I wish there was something I could say to take some of the pain away, but I know that is not possible. Please be comforted, though, in knowing that so many people care and will keep you all close in our hearts and in our prayers. God bless you all, and God bless, Kristina.

Although I never had the privilege to meet Kristina, I know how bad it hurts to lose someone so loved...so close...so young. My brother passed away just two weeks before his seventeenth birthday during the summmer. This poem really helped me get through his loss, and I hope it does the same for you.
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all
.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
