Helen Dorothy Fisher Smith, age 89, went to be with her Lord on August 6, 2012 in Richmond, VA. She was born November 1, 1922 in Muskegon and married Eugene C. Smith on August 6, 1943. Helen retired as a secretary from the Muskegon Heights District Court. She enjoyed bowling for 25 years with Michigan Cubs and was a member of Unity Reformed Church and Westwood Reformed Church. Helen and her husband had settled in Richmond, Va. to be near her daughter and grand children in 2002. She volunteered at the former Pioneer School for the Handicapped and at the Mercy Hospital gift shop.
SURVIVORS
She leaves one daughter, Linda Kae (Donald) Krukowski; grandchildren, Brian Krukowski, Jenifer (Greg) McLeod and Timothy (Kim) Krukowski: great grandchildren, Heather, Forest, Hope, Cole, Hollyn and Yar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Fisher Howard & John Fisher; husband; daughter, Margene Helen Smith; her sister, Kathy and brother-in-law Irwin Smith.
SERVICE
Monday, August 13, 2012, 1:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery. MEMORIAL: In Lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Easter Seals or March of Dimes.
