Mrs. Gertrude Stevens, age 73, went to be with her Lord Friday, August 10, 2012. She was born in Polkton Township on June 7, 1939 to Ladisluv & Gertrude (Ward) Ollmann and married Jonathan Stevens, Sr. on October 21, 1961. Mrs. Stevens had been a homemaker. 2 Tim 4: 7-8, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
SURVIVORS
Children, Jonathan (Melody) Stevens, Jr., Lance Stevens, both of Grand Haven, Wendy Jo Stevens of Holland, Troy (Dawn) Stevens, of Fennville; 13 grandchildren; 7 1/2 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Bev) Ollmann of TX; brothers-in-law, Denny Stone of Grand Haven, Greg (Nancy) Stevens of WI. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; and by 11 brothers & sisters.
SERVICE
A celebration of her life & her love of God will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012, 3:00 PM at the Clock Chapel-Grand Haven with Rev. Tim Murdoch officiating. Interment at Historic Cemetery.
VISITATION
Sunday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Grand Haven. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, please give to the family to defray funeral expenses.
