Gerald E. Fisher, age 60, of Bradley, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at home. Gerald was born on October 14, 1951 in Morris, IL. to the late Gerald and Ida (Crumley) Fisher. Mr. Fisher received his Bachelor’s degree from North Central College in Naperville, IL. where he met his future wife Kay. He married Kay Wildemuth on June 8, 1974 in Annawan, IL. Gerald became a chemist for CSL Behring in Bradley, IL. and worked there for over 35 years. He later went on to receive his Master’s Degree from Governor’s State University. Mr. Fisher attended services at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bradley, IL. He enjoyed fishing, fossil hunting, reading up on geology and archeology, bike riding and especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 38 years; Kay Fisher (nee Wildemuth), a daughter; Sarah (Kyle) Boyd of Kankakee, IL., two sons; Charlie (Angie) Fisher of Kankakee, IL. and Eric (Stephani) Fisher of Franklin, TN, one grandson; Zack Weaver of Bradley, IL., two sisters; Roberta Howe of Morris, IL. and Brenda Gausepohl of Wilmington, IL., several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew; James Roland Fisher.

A gathering time for family and friends to celebrate Gerald’s life will be on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 500 North Cleveland Ave., Bradley, IL. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
