James Greene

LIFESTORY:

James Raymond Greene, “Jim” “Ray”, age 55, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 29, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in New Albany, MS, August 22, 1956 and his family moved to Racine in 1969.

Jim proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps form 1975- 1978 and was employed as an auto mechanic for many years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working on cars and served on Neighborhood Watch. Above all it was time spent with his family that he treasured most. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Atkins (Nee: Cullens), father, Jimmy Green; the love of his life for 32 years, Katherine Schlichting; his daughter, Ashley; grandson, AyVion; brothers and sisters, Ronald Green, Ricky (Tammy) Gates, Melba (Curley) Gates, Christopher Gates, Eric Gates, Pamela (Ira) Carodine, Kerry (Bridget) Gates; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Turner and his cousin, Tony Driver.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, July 7, 2012, 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.. Services with full military honors will follow at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
