Gerald Lamb

LIFESTORY:

Gerald M. Lamb, 64, of Kankakee, IL, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Watseka Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Gerald was born on May 21, 1948 to George and Leola (Ritter) Lamb. He married Susan Wegner on June 29, 2007. Gerald has been a lifelong Kankakee resident and worked as a mechanic. He also spent 19 years as a Mental Health Technician at Shapiro Developmental Center He had an infatuation for Ford automobiles, especially the Mustang. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and hunting. Gerald also enjoyed golfing, casinos, pinochle and euchre.

Gerald is survived by his spouse Susan (nee Wegner) Lamb, his two children; Joseph (Rina) Lamb of Bradley, IL and Jennifer Smith of Kankakee, IL, his six grandchildren; Jaykob Lamb, Joshua Lamb, Shane Cody Bartosh, Darian Rice, Myranda Smith and Annalea Smith, his two sisters; Janice Trout of Kankakee, IL. and Carla Lamb of Kankakee, IL. and one brother Randy (Ethel) Lamb of Ohio. Gerald is also survived by his former wife Mary Krutilla-Lamb. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday July 5, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home’s Kankakee Chapel. Funeral Services and inurnment will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watseka Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Passages Hospice and to the family’s wishes.
