ANIBLE, DAVID RAY Cascade David Ray Anible, of Cascade and formerly summer resident of Les Cheneux Islands in the Eastern UP began his new journey of June 25th, 2012. Born on June 14th, 1931 in East Grand Rapids. He was a graduate there then joined the US Air Force. After completing his tour, he returned to marry the love of his life, Marian Renie Anible, his wife of 56 years who still survives him. David's belief in life was, "If you can't do the walk, don't do the talk." Earning the Melvin Jones and JC Penneys Award for humanitarian through the Lion's Club and City of Grand Rapids. He was involved in many activities - member of ADA Congregational Church for close to 50 years; he was the Youth Group Advisor for many years; as well as part of the Peace and Justice Committee; and the Church Choir. David would say, "Sing like no one is listening." Thornapple Valley Little League was a large part of his life - coaching for many years - as well as the Thornapple Lions Club where up to recently he had been the treasurer. David was very involved in the Heartside Community where he was a board member with In The Image for 22 years. He drove every Thursday doing pick-up and delivery because of his devotion to those in need. David was a man of peace - one who gave his all to others. Besides his love Marian; he is survived by his son, Stephen of Lowell; his daughter, Susan; and grandchildren, Carly and Christopher of Les Cheneaux Islands - "We will always love you Pappa Bear"; brother-in-law, George Meyer of Allendale; and his loving dog, Emma; and so many close friends he held so closely in his heart. Please join us in celebration of his life on Friday, June 29th at ADA Congregational Church - 6330 Ada Dr - service at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to In The Image or Thornapple Valley Lions Club. Memorial Alternatives 2432 Fuller NE 363.3700 www.memorialalternatives.com
