LIFESTORY:
Frank Conant Sherburne Jr., age 83, of Holland died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Hospice House of Holland.
Frank met Dorothy Hadden in 1951 and married her in 1953; in 1952 Frank enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. He was a mathematics professor at Hope College for 36 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of Hope Church. Frank enjoyed books, classical music and model trains.
Frank is survived by his wife Dorothy of 59 years and children: Marie and Randy Mercier of Tustin, MI, Richard Sherburne of Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren: Will Sherburne, Ashley Sherburne and Janice and Kevin Walker; nieces and a cousin.
A funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 8, 2012 at Hope Church 77 West 11th Street in Holland.
Reverends Jill Russell and Gordon Wiersma will be officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Mulder Chapel – Dykstra Funeral Homes 188 West 32nd Street in Holland.
