Mr. Raymond G. Luce, age 95, died Friday, May 11, 2012. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 2, 1917 to Sylvester & Grace (Pardick) Luce and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He married the former Darlyne C. Schmalzriedt on October 16, 1948. Mr. Luce had been employed at Ford Motor Company as a Tool & Die Maker for 46 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Grand Haven and Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Detroit and enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golf, singing in the barbershop chorus and church choir.
SURVIVORS
Daughters, Margo (Robert) Martin of IN; Cynthia (Richard) McAuliffe of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Kira (David) Flannery, Nathaniel (Julie) McAuliffe, Patrick McAuliffe, David McAuliffe, Rebecca (CJ) Michaud; great grandchildren, Brian Flannery, Brendan McAuliffe; brother, Donald (Florence) Luce of FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlyne; parents; and sister, Grace Schaar.
