Jim grew up in South Dakota and I grew up just south in Nebraska. We experienced the Great Depression and the Dust Bowls. We both agreed we were lucky to be kids at the time so we sailed on through without realizing times were tough. We enjoyed getting Jim's emails as you could count on a good laugh every time. Jim was the star of our Serendipity bowling team. He and Pat attended all our Super Bowl Parties and many other house parties in Serendipity. We could not have had a better, more kind friend than Jim!

Jim and Pat were our wonderful neighbers in Serendipity for many years. They were there whenever you needed them. We shared many good times playing cards, going out to eat, and just spending time together. Jim was a very gentle man. He will be missed greatly.

One of my best memories of Jim comes from 1975. He was sitting with his feet up at the kitchen table, and he was listening to the Detroit Tigers on the radio. Any day that I happen to stop in during the summer I might find him mentally transported to Tigers Stadium. The ultimate Tigers Fan... you will be missed...

Dear Pat & Family
We will always remember times we went out and the trips we took together. I will remember all the good times we had playing cards at the club house. Also the good cook outs we all enjoyed together. And the back yards get together two.
