Life Story / Obituary
Vivian "Louise" Baron, formerly of Kankakee, IL, and recently of Murphy, NC, passed away on her 94th birthday, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Louise was born on February 15, 1918 to Robert Mabry and Florence Neaville. She married George "Bob" Baron on July 13, 1960 in Kankakee and they shared a long and happy life together. Louise was a retail manager at Sears for sixteen years. She was also very active in the community. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, where for many years, she served on the church board. Louise was also a Lifetime member of the Womens' Club of Kankakee, the HEA and Royal Neighbors of America. Louise also greatly enjoyed antiquing and tending her flowers in her spare time.
Louise is survived by a son and his wife, Robert and Katherine Alexander of Jensen Beach, FL, a sister, Arlene Jaffe of Kankakee, IL; two grandchildren, Scott Alexander and his wife Lisa, of Brentwood, TN, Lynda Alexander and her partner Kelley, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; five great-grandchildren, Scott Douville and Lauren, Ryan, Jason and Caitlin Alexander, as well as three nephews and four nieces; David Jaffe, Jerry Werner, Dennis Baron, Bonnie Dee Mabry, Judy Weichold, Jane Palmer, and Nancy Simpson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, an infant daughter, Shari Gayle Alexander, and her brother, John Mabry of Corbin, KY.

A gathering for Louiseās family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 4p.m. until 7p.m. at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel and Friday, February 24, 2012 at Central Christian Church in Bourbonnais, IL from 10a.m. until time of service at 11a.m. Burial will take place at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Twp.
