My Throughts and My Prayers go out to Lill and the family. I haven't known Russ for only a few years-since I have been visiting Bethany Chapel Church with my friend Mr. James Eames.
But I have learned to respect both Russ and Lill as people of great faith and great leadership values. Russ will be deeply missed by everyone.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Russel Barnes. He was a kind man, a leader in the community, and a great neighbor. I have had the great joy of working for him, and living next to him as a neighbor. He will be missed by many and remembered by all who knew him.

Dad the greatest gift you ever gave me was my faith in God. I will miss you always and will see you again one day in heaven. You always had a soft heart and would do anything for your family. May you rest in piece until we meet again.
Love You

Dad, you are the reason I am a Christian, I was born again on Dec. 2, 1962 during the Cuban missile crisis. I felt such a sense of peace after asking God into my life. I know where you are and I prayed you would go quickly, you were in so much pain it was hard to watch you suffer. You will always be my "Upjohn buddy," because of you I got into the company as "summer help," it was to be a 36 year long summer! Dad started each day out reading the Bible, I am following in your footsteps! I know you weren't perfect, but neither am I, I just wish that I could have been a better example, like you, but I am trying! Mom and I can't believe we did not realize how much pain you were in, you hid it well, and never complained! I am glad Hospice helped relieve some of it, I just wish we would have called them sooner! To the most wonderful dad I could have ever wanted, Love Debby.

I served on the Schoolcraft Village counsel with Russ for five years. I frequently looked to Russ for direction on issues put before the counsel. Russ cared deeply about his family and community he lived in. Russ helped to make Schoolcraft the great community that it is today.
