Alberta M. Adams

Mrs. Adams passed away Monday afternoon, September 26, 2005 at Borgess Hospital. She was born October 26, 1922 in Webster County, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Howard) Pippin. On April 3, 1943, she was united in marriage to the late Donald Adams in Springfield, Missouri. Surviving are four children, Donald Adams Jr, Sharon (Ken) Goddard, Patricia Adams, and Bruce Adams; six grandchildren, Teresa Keith, Melissa DeWitt, Lucas Adams, Molly Adams, Hillary Adams, and Tyler Adams; four great-grandchildren, Alex Keith, Quinton DeWitt, Zachary DeWitt, and Elizabeth Keith. Preceding her in death are her husband, Don, on December 26, 1985; her parents; one son, Jerry Adams; and two brothers, Willie Pippin and Baby Boy Pippin. Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Pastor Robert Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Genesee Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m on Wednesday and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Southwest Michigan.
