Mr. Leo C. Gartland, age 75, died Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born in Boston, MA on March 11, 1936 to Leo & Margaret (Colford) Gartland and served his country in the US Navy. He married the former Beverly Sharkey on August 25, 1957 and had been the owner of Gartland Insurance Agency. Leo's love of gambling started his Leo's Jackpot Tours bus company in 1984.
SURVIVORS
Wife of 54 years, Beverly; children, Linda (Mike) Vanderberg of Muskegon, Paul (Cathy) Gartland of Holland, Ed (Karen) Gartland of Muskegon, Leo (Kathy) Gartland of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jill (Kevin) Slater, Kevin Vanderberg, Lindsey (Brian) Caputo, Angela Vanderberg, Jamison Gartland, Nate Gartland, Keegan Gartland, Haley Gartland; great grandchildren, Noah & Lucas Caputo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 1:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Doug Ogden officiating. MEMORIAL: Disabled Veterans.
