Chester E. Clark, Sr., 84, was born on February the third, nineteen hundred and twenty seven in Porter, Oklahoma. He was the second of eight children born to Tillman and Cora (Hytche) Clark. They both preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his oldest son, Chester E. Clark Jr.; brothers, Howard Clark Sr., Tillman Cark, Jr.; sister, Georgia (Maxine) Wiggins; and a special friend of over 40 years, Roberta Johnson. He attended Wagoner County Public Schools. He relocated to Battle Creek, Michigan in nineteen hundred and forty seven where he met and married Freddie Mae (Foreman) Clark, who also preceded him in death. To this union three children were born, Chester Jr., Jerome and Fred. He united with the Original Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Harold Speights and later, Reverend Arthur Rhan. He faithfully served as Trustee, President of a the Pastors Aide and various other duties as a member of the church. He is survived by sons, Jerome (Janet) Clark and Fred (Teresa) Clark both of Battle Creek, Michigan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers, Xenophone Clark of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Bonny (Ethel) Clark of Battle Creek, Michigan, Jimison (Barbara) Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dennis Clark of Porter, Oklahoma, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He was employed for the Grand Truck Railroad (CN) for over 35 years retiring in nineteen hundred and eighty three as a carpenter. He enjoyed his family, fishing, friends, baseball and building things with wood. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12:00 p.m. at Upton Avenue Original Church of God with Rev. Arthur O. Rhan officiating. Family hour will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to American Cancer Society .
