Claretta Achterhof

OBITUARY:

Claretta M. Achterhof age 88 of Holland , died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Appledorn Living Center . Claretta was born in Jamestown, MI and graduated from Hudsonville High School . She and her husband had owned and operated the Bos Tobacco and Candy Company for 30 years and she was also a member of the 14th Street Christian Reformed Church. Claretta was preceded in death by her husband-Melvin in 1993, daughter-Pat De Witt in 1998, and a great grandson-Joshua Fryling in 1991. She is survived by her daughters-Bev and Jerry Fryling of Grandville, Karyl and Bert Van Dis of Zeeland, Vicki Sterken and Ed Arnold of Zeeland, and Chris and Glenn Vander Ploeg of Zeeland; son-in-law-Jack and Linda De Witt of Holland; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother-Jim Plaggemeyer of Hudsonville; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Private family services will be held Friday. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorials Gardens . No visitation is scheduled. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.
