OBITUARY:
Edward Aalderink, age 88, of Holland passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, at his home.
Edward was born the son of Harry and Minnie Aalder-ink on August 22, 1922, in Graafschap, MI. Ed served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post #6 and a mem-ber of First United Method-ist Church of Holland.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry, John, Gordon, and Harry.
Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Mary Jane Aalder-ink; children, Clover Lynn Aalderink, Kenneth and Jan-ice Aalderink; special family friend, Bonnie Schuitema; grandchildren, Martha ( Mitchel) Bosma, Dr. Paul ( Jennifer) Aalderink; great-grand children, Payton, Tan-ner, Kelby, Brady and Nash Bosma, Natalie and Jack Aalderink; brothers and sisters, Josephine Nyland, Leonard Aalderink, Susan-nah Wadkins, Herbert and Carol Aalderink, Robert and Joyce Aalderink; in- laws, Gertrude Aalderink Della Aalderink; and several niec-es, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Lake-shore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
