Dr. Marvin Bonzelaar, age 87, of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. He was a graduate of Den-ison University and Univer-sity of Michigan Medical School and was a member of Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. He worked for Gen-eral Motors and practiced medicine in Grand Rapids for over 50 years. Marvin served his country in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Marvin is preceded in death by his son, Robert; and four siblings, Gerald, Hazel ( DeVries), Loretta ( Helmink), and identical twin Alvin. Marvin is sur-vived by his wife of 60 years, Annette; daughters, Barbara and Ted Etheridge of Grand Rapids, Nancy and Doug Ditmar of Grand Rapids, Betsy and David Doezema of Ada; daughter-in-law, Jen-nifer Bonzelaar of Jenison; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Mrs. Alvin ( Barbara) Bonzelaar of Holland, Lee Helmink of Holland, Patricia and Fred Nickels of Alanson; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland. Following the visitation, a graveside com-mittal service with Military Honors will be at Graaf-schap Cemetery at 3: 30 p. m. Memorial contribu-tions may be made to the International Fibrodyspla-sia Ossificans Progressiva Association ( IFOPA), PO Box 196217, Winter Springs, FL, 32719- 6217 and the Alzheimer’s Association.
