I have so many wonderful memories. I loved watching my grandmother cook while she tried to teach me to carry on the tradition. She was so skillful with her techniques and creativity. I will continue to try to prefect her pies but will always know "hers were the best"!

I remember living with her when I was just out of high school while we moved. I loved those days. She spoiled with me with her wonderful dinners and then we would sit in the livingroom, watch tv and wait for Denise to come home from work.

Christmas at grandmas were like to other. I will never forget how wonderful she made them for us as children. She truly knew how to always make us feel loved, no matter where she is it will never change. That is her legacy and it will carry on as she planned it!

I remember showing Great-Grandma all my cheers. She always told me that she would love to watch me at a game. Today I cheered, I know she was there watching me cheer and my brother (Austyn) play football. We both did our best and know she was very proud of us.

You will alway have a special place in my heart,

BrookLynn

I remember going to Greatgrandma's house and seeing who was the tallest between the two of us. She seemed to be taller then me for a long time. Finally, I was taller! She always said she was taller and there was no point in arguing!

Always in my heart,

Austyn

I remember her telling me I was going to marry her daughter (Diane) before we really even knew eachother. After I had met her (Shirley), she made Diane bring me dinner at the store where I was working to get us to go out together. I didn't know what real home cooked meals were until that time in my life. She was the best cook, I say that is why I gained all my weight.

Thanks alot Mom!

I mean it in a good way,

Harold J.

There are so many memories I have of my Mom. When I was young she would take me shopping at Christmas, and we would go out to lunch at House of Chan. When I was a teenager attending school I would come home for lunch, which she had ready for me when I got there and we would spend time eating and talking. Once I was married and had children of my own, she would go camping with us. We mainly camped at Jelly Stone Campground. The funniest thing that happened to us when we were camping was when we decided to take a shortcut back from the bathrooms in the middle of the night and got lost, Harold (my husband) had formed a search consisting of him and my two kids and came to find us.

I love and will always miss her,

Diane

I remember taking Mom shopping when I came up to spend the weekend with her and Denise. We would get onion rings and shakes from Mr. Quicks and go down to Lake Michigan to sit in the car and eat.

I love and will miss her,

Deb

I remember when I was a kid with sore legs Mom would sit down with me and rub them, until they stopped hurting.

I will miss her,

The thing I will always remember about Shirley is FAMILY that is what always came first then of course next was all of her great home cooked meals that I had my share of over the many year that I was her brother in law. My wife got in on her share in the 46 years that we have been married.

I will always keep those memories
