Lawrence Damaske

OBITUARY:

Lawrence D. Damaske, age 93, died August 31, 2010 in Lawton. He was born February 19, 1917 in Benton Harbor, the son of Frederick and Bertha (Zarbuck) Damaske. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Life Story Funeral Home, Betzler & Thompson-Paw Paw; 60900 M-40, 657-3870 where services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow the service at Lawton EMC. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Larry was an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Lydia, Bill, Ruben, Walter, Richard and Paul. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Damaske; 3 children: Dania (David) Jewett, Donald (Laura) Damaske and Deborah (Vincent) Lubsey; 5 grandchildren: Matthew (Sara) Jewett, Dr. David (Avni) Damaske, Kristopher Kleinbeck, DeNeille (Rob) Grybush and Kyle Kleinbeck; 6 great-grandchildren; sister; Gertrude (Russell) Hoyt; and many nieces and nephews.
