OBITUARY:
BELL (Belmont) - Mrs. Marilyn J. (Beaudry) Bell, age 84, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010. Marilyn grew up in the Detroit area where she met her husband, Jim. They were married in Wyoming, moved to Rockford where they raised a family and retired in Belmont. They were married for 59 years at the time of Jim's death in 2007. Marilyn was a stay-at-home mom and wife who provided day-care for others and later worked for Old Kent Bank. She was a determined and factual person who loved to play the organ and sing. She also enjoyed gardening and maintained a beautiful perennial garden. She loved Christmas and enjoyed hosting parties for the family. For many years, Marilyn volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House. The Bell family would like to thank the caregivers at RAI Renal Center, all the drivers from the American Red Cross, and the staff at Elder Helpers, Faith Hospice and Northview Manor for the love, care, and compassion given to Marilyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Bell; brothers, Jack Beaudry and Douglas Beaudry, and sister, Barbara Lamphear. Marilyn is survived by her children, James Dennis Bell of Belmont, Cheryl (Tom) Kuks of Newaygo, Terri (Wayne) Meuser of Rockford, Randal E. Bell of Missouri City, TX; six grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Armock, Shawn Meuser, Chris (Catherine) Meuser, Danielle Meuser, Brianne (Rick) Goodwin, Tyler Kuks; three great-grandchildren, Michael Armock, Alexandria Armock, Elizabeth Armock with the anticipated arrival of yet another. The Celebration of Mrs. Bell's life will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service.
