Jeanette Badham

OBITUARY:

Janet passed into Glory on Saturday, July 24, 2010. She was born December 16, 1917 in Kalamazoo, MI. She is the daughter of Leonard and Anna (Bouwhuis) Vanden Bos. On September 29, 1939 she was united in marriage to Roy M. Badham who preceded her in death on June 27, 1996. Janet was a member of Calvary Reformed Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She did volunteer work in the gift shop at Park Village Pines and also at Alternatives of Kalamazoo and at Borgess Hospital as a Red Cross Gray Lady. Surviving are a daughter, Judyth (Duane) Vander Horst of Kalamazoo; and son, Richard Badham of Oshtemo, MI. She found joy in her grandchildren, Douglas (Gerriann) Vander Horst of Kalamazoo and Darla (Tim) Sheppard of Vicksburg, MI. Her great grandchildren, Erin and Derek Vander Horst and Beth and Ben Sheppard. Also, a brother, John Vanden Bos; two sisters, Harriet (Phillip) Struble and JoAnn (Vern) Haas; and brother-in-law, Harold White; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother. Private graveside services will be held at Hope Cemetery at 2:30 PM on Friday, July 30, 2010. Followed by a memorial service at Calvary Reformed Church (7839 S. 5th St.) at 3 PM with Rev. Gregory Van Heukelom officiating. Memorials to Heartland Hospice, Calvary Reformed Church, or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
