Henry Katerberg

KATERBERG - Mr. Henry Katerberg, age 90, entered heaven's glory on March 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his son, Norman; and grandson, David Flier. Henry loved his Lord, his wife and family, and assisting anyone who had a need. Having founded Katerberg Landscape in 1953 with his brother John, he continued working at Katerberg Verhage Landscape until he was 85. Henry will be greatly missed by Leona, his dear wife of 65 years; his children, Mary Katerberg, Nancy and Donald Clover, Mary and Richard Broene, James and Mary Katerberg, Robert and Jeanne Katerberg; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Rudy Katerberg, Ev and Jean Katerberg, Alyce Finch, Ruth Katerberg, Henrietta Verwys, Dorothy Spoelma, Effie Verwys, Lillian Van Eerden, and Helen Verwys. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at East Leonard Church, 1027 Leonard NE at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel and at church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
