Sam Johnson

Mr. Sam A. Johnson Sr., age 64, died Monday, March 15, 2010. He was born in Muskegon, MI on December 5, 1945 to Louie & Dorothy (Furman) Johnson and married the former Reba Pennington on November 27, 1991. Mr. Johnson had been employed at CWC Textron for 30 years until retiring. After retiring, he went to work at West Michigan Grinding for 14 years. He was a Golden Eagle at the Muskegon Hts Eagles who loved to hunt, fish and watch the wildlife. Sam loved to go for rides in his red truck "Betsy". He will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS Wife, Reba; sons, Sam (Wanda) Johnson Jr., Denis (Marijo) Johnson; daughter, Tammy Smith; stepchildren, Glenn Johnson, Licia (Evan) Camburn, David (Liberty) Sidock; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Louie, Tom (Linda), Jerry (Vicky) Glenn, Paul, Rick, Jeff, Randy, Tulouse; sister, Linda Wiggers; many brothers & sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Phyllis; son, Tom; & 1 sister. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Friday, March 19, 2010, 2:00 PM at Fruitport Twp Cemetery with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. VISITATION Friday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Fruitport.
