I will never be able to hear the song "The Old Laughing Lady" without thinking of Katie and how she scared the beejezus out of me the very first time I heard her cackle during the song. I will miss you Katie. Give Pandora a scratch behind her ears for me.

I wrote this on 2/7/10 and shared it with Linda:
I never "really" got to know her. I know she was always so sweet, very generous, a good cook, tough, but fragile. She saw the good in people and reminded us of the good times. She loves to be around people, she loves animals, and enjoys music and celebrating others. She knew just the right gift that would empower T to become an even more versatile and more amazing muscian, and at the same time giving him the gift of pride for his accomplishments in learning how to play both the mandolin and violin-- gifts he'll have forever. She is full of compassion and has a BIG heart. And T loves her deeply.

You know looking back,Katie has always been a very special
Angel !! I am so glad that she is now no longer suffering and she is now in the hands of our Lord.
T you know how much Heather and I love you ...Always remember that and we made a promise to Katie that we would watch over you for her.
Katie,you will be missed but I know we all will meet again!
