ABRAHAMS - Esther L. Abrahams (Brummel), 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2010. Esther was born March 26, 1929 in Grand Rapids and lived in Grant, Michigan where she raised her family with her former husband, Harry Abrahams, who preceded her in death. Esther was a retired employee of Thermotron in Holland, Michigan. Esther is survived by four of her six children, Dennis Abrahams of Casnovia, Kevin Abrahams (John Kraklau) of Grand Rapids, Cindy Abrahams-Bankes of Aransas Pass, Texas, Sheila Abrahams (Ted Hitchcock) of South Haven, four grandchildren, Allen (Erica) Abrahams of Chicago, Andrea (Jose) Garza of Grand Rapids, Gregory Sall of Georgia and Stacey Sall of Italy; two great grandchildren, Jose Garza Jr. and Christina Garza. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christine Abrahams; a daughter, Loraine Sall and a brother, Lloyd Brummel. Esther is also survived by sisters. Bernice (Howard) Pell of Fremont, Lavon (Edwin) Visscher of Holland; brothers, Morley (Emily) Brummel of Fremont, Robert (Joyce) Brummel of Fremont, Stanley (Marcia) Brummel of Pierson, and Clyde (Denise) Brummel of Fremont. Memorial contributions can be made to Holland Home, Fulton Manor-Lendick Unit in Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6 at McKinley Funeral Home, Grant. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mckinley Funeral Homes
