Norma Blalock

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Jean passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005. She was born January 6, 1932 in La Grange County, IN, the daughter of De Lois and Marie L. (Holsinger) Hartman, and had been a resident of the Portage area for many years, as well a resident of Florida. Jean was a member of the Methodist Church and the Sisters of the Knights of Pythias Lodge. She had been employed by Sealed Power for 35 years. On July 28, 1951, she married Robert T. Blalock, and he survives. Jean is also survived by her son, Ron (Elaine) Blalock of Dallas, TX; her daughter, Jan Troyer of Portage; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Earl) Murray of Beloit, WI; a brother, Stanley (Sue) Hartman of Ft. Wayne, IN; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
