I met the children at St. Johns High School as a teacher then I met Ignacio and Olga and I understood the family.

It was a pleasure to know him and appreciate him as a Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather and a very good man. I would like to thank you all for sharing him with the rest of us.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss on today.

Thank you for allowing us to get to know "Grandpa Martinez" through your Granddaughter, Vern. We had the opportunity to meet Grandpa Martinez & his wonderful wife, Vern's Mom, Rosa and there the rest of the relationship goes.

It was a pleasure getting to know "Grandpa & Grandma Martinez and the rest of the family. He will surely be missed greatly by all of the family.

Ours thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I met Joe when I worked at Kroger's and always looked forward to seeing is smiling face. Joe was a person that I never saw being angry or upset. Joe's smile would always brighten your day no matter how hard of a day you were having, his smile seemed to wipe away the problem if only for a moment. I will miss you dearly.

Learning of his passing was hard to hear and my heart goes out to the family during this very difficult time in there live.

I remember moving to St Johns and looking over and seeing Mr Martinez waving. Between walking to and from the bus stop, seeing him at Kroger and Haloween we always knew that he would be there with a smile and a laugh. Hearing he had passed today I can say his smile, laugh and friendliness will be missed. We'll miss our neighbor!

I'll always remember the warm and friendly smile that would light up a room. He always had a kind word for everyone he encountered.

I always remember how proud Ignacio was to march in the Veterans Day parade and how honored Jimmy was to walk along side him and son Joe.
