Thinking of "Liz" is like thinking of a rainbow. In the brief time I knew her, she enjoyed an occasional conversation in which faith and family were primarily on her mind. She seemed to like the coloring books we would bring her and a new box of crayons could garner a special smile. A dear lady - she will be missed.

My Great Aunt Lizzie was an unforgettable woman. It's been years since I have seen her, since moving away from Michgan, but the memories of her are still close to my heart. One of the things I remember - and enjoyed most about her - was her infectious laugh and sense of humor. I loved visiting her and my great-uncle at their farmhouse and listening to her many colorful stories about life. She had a big heart, a big laugh, a big spirit and a big love of life, and she lived her life well. God Bless You, Aunt Liz, and may you now be living a bigger life in Heaven!! xo Kim

I met Elizabeth when my husband was a patient at Hazel Findley. She was a very sweet lady & sort of kept an eye on my Doug. The last time I visited her she didn't remember me but that was understandable as Doug died in 1998 & it had been about 7 years since she had seen me.

I have thought of her often & her kindness.

I met Liz while visiting her sister Alice from the Befriender’s Ministry of St Joseph Church St Johns. Liz introduced herself and told me much about herself and her sisters. We visited on several occasions.

Liz told me about her volunteer work at Hazel Findley and got me interested in working with the residents as well. When a post in the St Joseph Church bulletin asked for volunteers for Eucharistic ministers I jumped on the bandwagon. Liz introduced me to other residents and welcomed me every Sunday that I came. She was a shining star to every Sunday visit and will truly be missed.

Liz was a memorable part of the Catholic Sunday Mass Ministry at Hazel Findlay since it was formed in November of 1990. She assisted the eucharistic ministers and volunteers in so many ways and was an inspiration of Gods love to us all. She endured hardships with grace and patience and always encouraged others to follow the life of Jesus. She will be dearly missed by us all.
