Ruth Faasse

OBITUARY:

FAASSE – Mrs. Ruth Adriana Faasse passed on to her heavenly home, Monday morning, November 16, 2009 while residing at Holland Home – Raybrook Manor. She was born on November 19, 1919 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Clayton and Mary (Faasse) VanDyke, and she married her affectionate husband of 66 years, Adrian Faasse, on February 19, 1943. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois (Wheland) and Marianne; her father and mother-in-law Martin and Johanna Faasse; sister and brothers-in-law Richard LaBotz, Jack and Tina Pyp, Anthony and Ada Boshoven, Cornelius and Jeanne Karelse, John and Margaret (DeWinter) Faasse, Sieger (Harry) Kloostra, Geraldine Faasse, John DeVries, Adrian Kaan, and Clinton Peck. Ruth is survived by her husband, Adrian; a son, Dr. Martin and Roelie Faasse; grandchildren Drs. Mark and Ranya Faasse, Jonathan and Kristin Faasse, and Sarah Faasse; great granddaughter Carolyn Faasse; sisters Jane Peck, Nellie Kaan, Laura (Dan) Breuker and Josephine Brandt; brother John VanDyke; sisters-in-law Wilma LaBotz and Anne Kloostra; brother-in-law Martin Faasse, many nieces and nephews; and 2 very special spiritual friends in Christ, Wilma DeVries of Kalamazoo and Jean Malloy. Her family will greet relatives and friends at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield NE on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10-10:50 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM.
